I am sure many of you, like me, grew up loving cars. From an early age we would see cars on TV or in movies and dream of one day being able to drive or own such an amazing machine. Also, like me, most of you couldn't afford one back with the $1.25 in your piggy bank, or with whatever you make today. But just because we can't afford them doesn't mean we should stop dreaming, quite the opposite. We should all continue to dream a big dream and one day, we just might reach it!
As far back as I can remember, I have always been enamored by both the Dodge Viper as well as any and every Lamborghini that has been made; specifically thinking about the Countach from the 90s.
The Dodge Viper is a less popular car than the Lamborghini, but it has always had a special place in my car dreams. All the way back from the original created in the 90s to the Gen V Viper that was just discontinued, I have always wanted one. Maybe it is the raw power that the car has, over 600hp for anyone that likes numbers, or maybe it is just the aggressive look of it. Either way, to this day I still want one.
Then there comes the iconic Lamborghini Countach. To this day, it still looks amazing. Maybe a little dated but I would not hesitate to drive one around town and feel like I was the coolest person around! From there, Lamborghini has evolved many different generations of cars, all of which I would be happy to own. The Gallardo, Murcielago, Huracan, and the Aventador, all a dream. This is a "typical" dream car for most children, and even most grown adults that would love a supercar. Today my dreams consist of the latest model announced, the Aventador SVJ. It looks like a fighter jet and currently holds the production car record at the Nürburgring with a blistering time of 6:44.97. A time that will hopefully hold up for more than a couple weeks (right Porsche?).
As I sad in the beginning, never stop dreaming. For me personally, while the Aventador SVJ is still far out of reach, I am closer to owning a Dodge Viper than I ever have been before and I hope to own one in the very near future. Dreams do come true, never forget that!
Also, in case it wasn't obvious, I have an affinity to green cars. So if and when I own one, it will be green!
